I grew up in Fribourg, Switzerland. There was no fixed plan for my life — I was simply drawn onward early. Working as a flight attendant for Swissair took me away from Fribourg to Zurich. Only later did I decide to study law.
My path then took me much further afield: through my work with the International Committee of the Red Cross, I spent time in places including Afghanistan and the Central African Republic.
Road cycling had already been part of my life for years by then — long before the mountains came into it. After I returned to Switzerland, my partner introduced me to climbing and the mountains, and an early curiosity grew into a lasting passion alongside cycling.
Professionally, my path eventually led to entrepreneurship. As Managing Partner and Co-Founder, I helped build Peak Compliance AG from the ground up.
Today, work, mountains, road cycling and travel are all part of my life — alongside the time I spend with my partner and Luna.
